What Is Raw Almond Butter?

With the health benefits of almonds, it was only a matter of time before raw almond butter became more and more popular. For those who did not know, almond butter is just a paste made out of almonds, so it is very similar to peanut butter just made out of almonds instead of peanuts. Raw organic almond nut butter is almond butter that is made by a specific process. The almonds are ground multiple times, and the cooking temperature is kept low, keeping the almonds from cooking. Due to the low cooking temperature, the almonds are kept "raw" so they maintain their flavor, nutrients, minerals, and health benefits.

Raw almond butter is becoming very popular with people with food allergies.  Almond butter is considered hypoallergenic, making it much easier for people with food allergies to eat.  Raw almond butter also contains monounsaturated fats, a much healthier alternative to saturated fats.  Add the health benefits that almonds have, and you have a much healthier product than regular peanut butter.  Raw almond butter is a much better choice for families, and health conscious individuals compared to most butters on the market.

Raw almond butter should also appeal to people who want to buy American products.  Almonds are primarily a United States grown product, and by buying raw almond butter you are only helping American farmers and manufacturers.

Love this stuff. It's definitely much better than regular peanut butter, which in my opinion is way too sweet from all the extra sugar they add. Good hub, and welcome to HubPages!

Yep it really is great stuff. But you should try to find one where the manufacturers state that they remove the inner brown skin since that is not good for the digestive system

Thank you for the advice. I have been doing a little more research on that and you are right, it is always good to remove that inner brown skin. Thanks again for the advice and thanks for reading.
