Leather chess boards are becoming very popular among serious chess players, and amateur for fun players as well. I think this is because finding the right type of chess board has always been a challenge for players. We all want to find the right balance between decorative and game play ability when searching for our new chess board. Leather chess boards are starting to offer a very decorative board, which of course is important not only for decorating you home or office, but because it is important to show off your board to other players. Really, leather chess boards are just an all around good board.

Picking the right chess set is often a matter of personal opinion, but if you think leather might be the right set for you, than I would go ahead and buy a leather chess board.
